okay but was i the last person to get the “work out when you’re depressed it’ll help so much” memo?

Oh it’s so important, I’m sorry you missed that memo!  My doc told me two years ago that I should elevate my heartrate for 15 minutes a day for the best effect.  I also found that, on days I couldn’t get 15 minute run in, a walk helps too.  Especially considering sunlight is another natural aid for depression. (side tip: exposing yourself to sunlight for 15-30 minutes between 7-10am helps your body set its biological clock and leads to more regular sleep patterns).

To all the baristas participating in Happy Hour today, may the odds be ever in you favor.

It’s day three and we have had two baristas hospitalized, one transfer stores, one was fired, and our manager put in her two weeks notice.

This is the one Hunger Games I might actually win.

Update: two more baristas put in their two week notice.

There are only three of us left now.

Do you guys know any good herbs/plants for fighting depression? Especially one I could grow myself…

All I’ve ever heard of is St. John’s wort, but I haven’t personally tried it.  While it isn’t an herb or plant, the supplement SAMe has been majorly helpful for me.  It’s a bit pricey at about $40 for 7 week supply, but it’s worth it to me.

My starbucks is literally calling frappuccino happy hour “The Frapture”

Oh hey this also works for my store.  We had a mass exodus in the past week where two baristas were hospitalized, one transferred stores, another was fired, and our manager put in her two weeks notice.

Classic animators doing reference poses for their own drawings. I’m in love with these images.

Part of the reason animators like to work alone, late at night when no one is watching.
