Ancient healers believed Earth’s energy could be easily absorbed through our skin and through the soles of our feet.

Studies proves earthing (also called grounding) can improve your blood pressure, reduce cortisol, and even help problems sleeping. It’s done by reconnecting your body with the free electrons that flow through the Earth’s surface and it’s as easy as walking barefoot outdoors.

Sometimes I get in these really kawaii/harajuku/pastel unicorn moods and I want to dye my hair pink and purple.

Then I think about all the maintenance I put into my ONE STRIP of colored hair and those dreams fall apart.

I remember this one time in high school I was leading the girls’ track team exercises and none of the girls wanted to do push-ups.  They were complaining that they didn’t want to get buff and ugly, so I told them that if they did more push-ups it would build up their pectoral muscles which would give their breasts more lift and cleavage.

I’ve never seen a group of girls do so many push-ups in my life.

This came one the radio today.

I wasn’t prepared.  Nope nope nope nope nope noPE.

Bone of Youth

I feel stagnated like a pool,

A breeding ground for insects.

Over me something looms

And to it I can’t put any name

Except uncertainty.

And all I want is to tear this

Bone of youth from my body;

It itches incessantly under the skin,

It drives me mad at midnight

As I achingly wait for the dawn

But longingly cling to the night.

It screams, “Hurry, hurry!”

And tortures me for my delay.

But it’s because I’m still charting

A course that won’t crash.

It’s true,

I’ve grown weary of sideway shuffles,

Tired of backwards stumbles,

And I dream of forward steps.

But every time I try,

My foot hovers over the plunge

And I slip my blindfold on

To lose sight and wander away,

All the while that bone screams,

“Jump, jump!”

May Saint Jude protect me.
