Actually, this is an entirely fabricated image.

The image on the left was taken from June through September 2001 then compiled into one image.  The image on the right, was taken on January 1st, 2011.  During winter in the Northern Hemisphere.  When it’s naturally significantly less green.  You can also tell this because NASA images were not of that quality in 1978.

Also, I’ve PERSONALLY driven through all those parts of the US and they are thoroughly GREEN.  And mostly uninhabited except for cows.

So, no need to panic.  Y'all are good, the Earth is still green, let’s keep it that way.
