What’s interesting about this, I think, is that there’s an even split for book banning in conservative vs liberal states. You can only see a distinct line in at the top of the Bible Belt, but below it it goes down a lot. Texas and Oregon though… seriously guys?

Personally I’m against book banning, with the exception of an explicit book being required reading. If a child is required to read a book that makes them uncomfortable, or goes against their religious beliefs then they most certainly should be able to opt out.
