Bioware said that the Solas romance only being by an option of femaleelves was important and would make sense. As we know there is male dialogue which wasn’t an option with the game, and as we also know there is only one real difference between heterosexual and homosexual relationships.
Lavellan might just end up being pregnant after all.
Or they could give us the option of her being so?
that would be awesome for me but not sure people who didn’t romance Solas would like it
I kind of figure it will go down like this:
Inquisitor follows/finds Solas
Along the way they pick up or take along another female elf, who is Dalish and pro-restoring the old ways (either a new elf or Velanna or most likely Merrill)
Solas reveals that the Dalish Gods and the Old Gods are the same
Solas needs a child to bring back another Dalish God
If the Inquisitor is a female Lavellan, even if they were not in a relationship, Solas offers them the chance to be mother to the child
If they were in a relationship, the dialogue is romance specific
If the Inquisitor refuses or was not a female Lavellan, Solas offers the chance to the female elf
Or your character has the option to unknowingly go through “The Dark Ritual,” get knocked up, but then Solas gets killed and her baby takes on the Old God Soul. Maybe Lavellan has twins and takes on Fen'Harel AND Mythal!
Or you think you’re going to kill an archdemon and get the soul, but it kills Solas instead.
Then any female can take on the baby, but it means more if you romanced. Also you have the option, just as you had the option to have your (male) character, Alistair, or Logain impregnate Morrigan… or not at all!
If you’re playing as a male inquisitor, then you can have Other New Female Companion (Merril?) pick up the Old God baby.
There are a lot of terrible/amazing possibilities to this.
