It wasn’t until my brother entered his teenage years and started talking about how much he hated how he looked, that he was ugly, etc. that I realized that boys go through it as well.
And for them it’s worse because they don’t have compliments being showered on them that “all boys are beautiful” like girls get. Girls are told all of these things throughout their formative years, but boys are not. Girls are allowed to cry, wear make-up to change their appearance, or talk about their feelings of inadequacy, but boys are not. Boys get told to “man up”, to not be weak, and if they even dye their hair they’re ridiculed.
Let’s take care of our boys like we take care of our girls.

to be fair most coffeeshops have gotten aboard the almond milk train but no need for him to act like a pansy prick
I hate almond milk so much because of this; if one more person gets mad about almond milk I’m going to scream. Starbucks chose to go with coconut milk over almond milk to avoid nut allergy issues but also, when they tested it in certain stores, it didn’t sell well enough to justify the cost and allergy issue.
You know what’s even funnier, I went to a coffee shop in DC (Bakers and Baristas, I think?) and I overheard one lady throwing a fit because she didn’t like her almond milk. Because it was REAL, pure almond milk with no added sweeteners and therefore sour. So she got upset because it was Silk or whatever.
Moral of the story, someone is always going to get hissy that you don’t have what THEY want, especially in coffeeshops.

Actually, wouldn’t Beast already know how to read from his human days?
I think in the song they cut from the movie, then reintroduced with the re-release, there was a few lines where Beast either admitted he couldn’t read or the book was just too difficult.
Given that he was a spoiled brat of a human, it’s not unlikely he just didn’t try to read! Like he was capable but didn’t bother learning more.
