Anonymous asked: I think you should very VERY glad you didn't get that vaccine when you were 3 months old. research dtap & SIDS.

I actually did have DTaP when I was a baby (can’t remember when though), but it requires a booster every five years I think.  And from what I read, it’s easier to have when you’re younger, the older you are the worse the side effects get, especially by the fifth or sixth dosage.  I want to say this is my fourth or fifth though so that would make sense.  I didn’t know this before I got the vaccines, but the information was provided to me by the hospital, I just didn’t bother to read.  Derp!

And I did just look into DTaP and SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), and after about 30-45 minutes of reading, I found more scholarly sources claiming there isn’t a link than articles claiming there is a link.  SIDS is at its peak occurrence between 2 and 4 months, which incidentally is also the average time of vaccines in infants.  However, correlation is not causation.

Thanks for trying to scare me though.

Has anyone heard of negative side effects to the meningococcal or TDap vaccines?

Because I can’t even keep water down I’m so sick and I’ve not been feeling well since I got the vaccines Friday morning. I tried asking the internet but the results have been that a very small percentage of people get sick. I feel like I was punched all up my left side of my body and even water makes me want to hug the porcelain.

Help?

Vienna Teng Aims 05 The Hymn of Acxiom

“The Hymn of Acxiom.. capture[s] the way people relate to technology and the information gathered about them, and there’s almost a religious quality to it.
I think the reason we agree to be spied on, basically, is that, on some level, we do want to be known.  There is that unsettling parallel with religion and the way technology works now. At some level, as human beings, we have this deep need, this deep desire to be understood, to be seen, to have the sense that someone knows everything we do.
Then there’s the question of what that entity does with that knowledge. In religion, the message is that God loves you and embraces you while holding you accountable for being your best self. Whether Acxiom databases do that is much more questionable.”

This appeals to my deep loves of cautionary sci-fi and religious music.

Wheel of Time is the sad lesson of what can happen when you sell the rights to your books - Vox >>

Oh my gosh this is so frustrating. Now all the movie reboots make sense.
I don’t know if the WoT would make a good movie series though, maybe TV, but the characters do a lot of sniffing and braid tugging and not wanting to do anything, hahaha.
