I’m not usually so emotional about celebrities dying, but I am actually torn up about losing Robin Williams. I don’t think I’ve felt like this since Ray Bradbury passed. What a lose.

Hungary’s Viktor Orbán has openly renounced Western-style democracy for the nationalist authoritarianism of Putin’s Russia. >>

I recall someone out there once stating that the Soviet Union did not actually collapse, but merely go to sleep. I laughed at the time but shoot, I think that might be true at this point.

We’re finally prepping to move into our new house, which means tearing out carpet, painting, repairs, etc,; I’m getting more consistent work hours; classes start next week; everything is getting crazy aaaah!

For someone so worried about privacy and being tracked, I sure do sign up for a lot of catalogs and e-mail lists.

What a time to be alive.

The head of a company survived 9/11 because
His son started kindergarten.

Another fellow was alive because it was
His turn to bring donuts.

One woman was late because her
Alarm clock didn’t go off in time.

One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike
Because of an auto accident.

One of them
Missed his bus.

One spilled food on her clothes and had to take
Time to change.

One’s
Car wouldn’t start.

One couldn’t
Get a taxi.

The one that struck me was the man
Who put on a new pair of shoes that morning,
Took the various means to get to work but before.
He got there, he developed a blister on his foot.
He stopped at a drugstore to buy a Band-Aid.
That is why he is alive today..

Now when I am
Stuck in traffic,
Miss an elevator,
Turn back to answer a ringing telephone…
All the little things that annoy me,
I think to myself,

This is exactly where
I’m meant to be
At this very moment

I think that last bit all the time and that’s what keeps me sane.  I get worked up easily and it’s very difficult to relax afterward.  It’s harder sometimes than others, but I always think that if I hadn’t been running late I’d be dead.  Extreme, but soothing.

The French have a “Ministry of Free Time”.

I’m just gonna laugh forever.

all i want is a billion dollar gift card to Anthropologie

and the thighs to fit their jeans

Apparently the oxford comma isn’t a thing in French because my online workbook keeps deducting points when I use it.

It’s getting really irritating because the oxford comma is really important to me!!
