roccondil asked: Does the Wheel of Time series get better as the books progress? because I found the first one to be too verbose for my taste.
It goes back and forth. My mom has been reading them since they started and she loves them. I actually just got into them this summer and I’ve been listening to the audio books as I commute, clean, paint, etc.1 It’s a bit hard to get into because it is such a detailed world, but once you do the story is incredible and satisfying. It’s got about four or five plot lines per book though so I guess it depends on whether or not you like that. My boyfriend, an avid reader of just about any kind of story, isn’t into those sorts of things, but I love it enough to invest the time! Because it really is a time investment, haha. The world is well developed and fascinating and almost all the characters are interesting. I’d say though that book two gets better, three kinda drags, but four is excellent. I hope that helps!
