i mean, we never included the & before (rby, gsc, rse, dppt, hgss, bw, b2w2, xy, oras) so it’s really obviously a sex joke
and since the pokemon franchise is made for kids, its very inappropriate for older fans (ESPECIALLY adults) to make it into a sex joke..
i dont want children to be banned from playing pokemon because their parents see so many people calling it pokemon S&M.. please don’t take children’s media away from them.
Exactly! This is really important. please be considerate of younger fans. Act with decency when it comes to something explicitly aimed at children.
I’ve seen some people calling it “psm” for pokemon sun and moon. i know it sounds close to psmd (pokemon super mystery dungeon), but it should work just the same. Let’s keep things clean and safe for the kids!
Children shouldn’t be on fucking Tumblr in the first fucking place, holy shit.
They shouldn’t even be on the internet unsupervised. It’s not my job to police myself to protect somebody’s shitty fucking kid, nor is it anybody else’s except for the parent.
I fail to see who this announcement would even benefit unless somebody is making these jokes in front of children IRL, but I think if someone were doing that, they wouldn’t give a shit about your condemnation.
Hey, here’s a thought: let’s stop policing other’s content because some hypothetical child might see it, when they shouldn’t even be seeing it in the first place.
They shouldn’t be on tumblr, but content on tumblr doesn’t stay on tumblr. It’s the internet, anything and everything spreads. How many twitter screenshots have you seen here? I see a few a day, and I see screenshot of tumblr on Facebook more often than I’d like. You don’t HAVE to “police” yourself, no one is going to force you, and if they or Tumblr did they’d be in the wrong. But this person makes a good point and did it reasonably. It’s worth thinking about, and then you can make the decision for your own blog.
