this isn’t a debate - one side has the scientific consensus on board, another side has the “i got abused therefore abuse is good” chucklefucks on its side, which is a thing called “cycle of abuse”.

first and foremost you essentially said “anyone with first hand experience shouldnt give their opinion” (though im sure that doesnt include the ones that agree with you)

stop trivializing abuse by categorizing minor punishment as abuse, its insulting to people who were actually abused (although, judging by the previous point its obvious you dont care what they think)
