The Men-Women Wage Gap

Basically a shorter version of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p5LRdW8xw70 , a Norwegian documentary exploring the “gender equality paradox”, wherein they sought to figure out why the more “equal” the society, the more women chose to less paying careers, or more “social” careers.
What they came down to was not that women couldn’t get into higher paying jobs, typically engineering based jobs, but rather they just did not show an interest. Women, when allowed to choose any career path they wanted, more often than lesser developed countries showed a desire and interest in traditionally feminine jobs (ie teaching, social work, nursing, etc.).
